In 2025, Ackama turned 15. It was a chance to reflect on what drives our work and how we continue to create impact through technology and design.
This year we supported organisations across government, research, health, energy, community sectors and beyond. Many are working to improve access, inclusion and pragmatic outcomes for their purpose. We’re proud to contribute by delivering technology and design services that improve how these organisations serve the people who rely on them and support purpose.
Here are some of the many organisations we are proud to have worked with in 2025:
ADF (Alcohol and Drug Foundation)
EnergyLab
Greening Australia
headspace
Life Flight
Learn NZSL
SOUNZ
SunSpot (APVI)

Our focus was on delivering technology that supports inclusion, resilience and long-term impact. From large scale government systems and energy platforms to community led initiatives, we’ve worked alongside organisations striving to innovate digital services. Below, we’ve highlighted a few of the many projects we’re proud to have contributed to this year.
Innovating government systems in the Pacific
PalauPay
This year we shared our work on PalauPay, the first national payments platform for the Republic of Palau. Designed in partnership with UNOPS and Palau’s Ministry of Finance, the system replaced manual processes with a secure digital platform.
It is already in use across multiple government departments, improving how citizens access and pay for services. We were proud to present this work at the 40th Meeting of South Pacific Governors.
Accessibility in action
Innovation Network (AU) and Parliamentary Council Office (NZ)
Ackama collaborated with the Parliamentary Counsel Office to explore how technology could support clearer legislative drafting. Through research, user testing and open-source prototyping, the team developed tools that suggest simpler language in real time. These early experiments laid the foundation for future innovation in legislative systems.
We also worked with the Victorian Public Sector Commission to improve accessibility on the Innovation Network platform. This included technical updates across the site, helping make the platform more inclusive for public sector communities.

Consumer Data Rights and SunSPOT
Australian PV Institute (APVI)
Unlocking access to energy data is essential for empowering people to make informed, sustainable choices. We worked with APVI on Consumer Data Right (CDR) recipient-side integration, helping unlock solar energy data through SunSPOT to support more accessible, localised decision making. This included new flows for solar system upgrades, direct roof mapping, and an integration with CDR intermediary Adatree.
